The Doctors

Dr. Vien Ngo - ngovp@h2chiro.net

I was born and raised in the Denver Area. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Cellular Developmental Biology, with the intent of going on into medicine. During that time I shadowed a number of doctors, and found that the methodology was not quite what I wanted. I wanted something a little more holistic, solving the problems at the root. I spent some time looking through the various options, and ended up finding Chiropractic. Chiropractic fit my criteria even better than I was hoping, the idea of treating patients using my hands, treating patients by finding and treating the root cause, and keeping patients healthy through knowledge.

So, I went on to get my degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West. Here, I was taught not only the basics of Chiropractic, but I also experienced the Sports Chiropractic side of care (Palmer West having a very strong Sports Chiropractic Program). Seeing the effects of care on athletes, seeing how much each muscle could affect so much of a person's performance, helped my philosophy on care grow even further. During my last few months before graduation, I did an internship at Dr. Adam Thom's clinic in Lakewood, and Dr. Thom's philosophy and the way he worked with his patients helped reinforce my beliefs on what Chiropractic could do.

After I graduated, I took an opportunity to travel to Indonesia and work at a new clinic, opened by a friend and Palmer Alumni. I decided it was a good chance to travel while still getting the experience necessary for opening my own practice. It was a very enjoyable and eye-opening experience; being able to see first hand the differences between our own healthcare and the influence of our culture, compared to others, as well as seeing Chiropractic help so many in many different ways.

I hope, that my fondness for knowledge, for expanding on my own abilities, and for helping those I can help, will allow me to be the best doctor I can be.
